Time Spent with Da Luvd Ones

Been away from blogging for a bit of a time. Mostly due to keterpaksaan membawa kerja balik ke rumah, which is out of the norm for me (very unhealthy!), dgn itu terlalu muak to face anything IT-ed aftr tht. Maklumlah project time line is pressing hard against the team. Ajakan ke weekend parties pun x gi sbb weekend rasa nak crash & laze around jek. Weekend lah waktunya yg bnyk habiskan ngemas umah, mendobi, feed my family to sleep, and most evident is tht I've been cooking + trying recipes. Since we're sick of the daily nasi, kdg2 dlm 1 hari, brkfast - pancake (we had it with golden syrup or peanut
butter with rice puffs). Calories pun tinggi! Lunch - Yee Mee Cantonese. Dinner - mixed pasta (pasta campak mcm2 ramuan). The husband pun ngidam mkn lemak daging salai. Nasib la my Wan kek Jolobu dah ajar den cam no nak masak. Mencuba juga resipi Jamie Oliver - Sheila's Pudding (peach pudding. But I've also tried a kiwi variation). Top it up with ice cream. Yum. X lepas juga lawatan rasmi ke mini reptile zoo in 1U (dlm shopping mall pun ada zoo). Budak2 ni beriya2 nk tgk snake, spider, etc. Tak takut plak tu. Diketuk2nya aquarium tu semua.

Then there was the birthday party of Esmerelda! She turned 7 on 04.04.2008. Her daddy, and good friend of mine, Daniel held a small makan2 for his family and friends. A chance to see member lama dgn penampilan baru where all the men (hubby Azly+Daniel+Fakh) sit together and compared how they've piled up some michelin spare tyres ever since we last met (at Daniel's party back in 2003-I wasn't married then. But oh yeah Daniel was at my wedding later that year but I didn't get to see his belly tucked away behind the banquet table!  ). Thanks for having us and kids thrashed your crib! I know this is one of the few moments we get to spend with our circle. Terharu Esme yg suka browse wikipedia ni took the egyptology book that I bought her, to bed! That's really cute, you birthday girl!

Men in Black were our usherers, di luar dewan ada popparazzas... ada giant golden oscar statuettes, ada red carpet, every 'artist' donned their best outfit, lip-lap baju makcik haaaaa...

when the fun's over... masa utk kontotkan rambut. Tak pe sayang, dah besar nanti bela lah rambut panjang mana pun. kecik2 ni asal ayah tgk korang rimas rambut tutup telinga je, maka bersiap le mengadap hair stylist

15 January 2008: Jakarta!
Went on a 3-day project visit. The users sgt la hospitable. Hari2 depa bwk gi lunch. Pulak tu azan je sume gi solat, jemaah tu! klu miss first jemaah tak pe, sbb nnti ada satu lagi trip org berjemaah kita bleh join. dasat... kat Mesia kalu... hmmm...
Yg pasti menarik perhatian is Sup Bontot Goreng aka Sup Ekor Goreng. Sedap u!!! terngiang2 di tekak. Jgn risau, Indonesia negara Islam, makanan dijamin halal. Mlm kedua kami kuar terserempak dgn konsert 'Olay - Keabadian Cinta', Agnes Monica pun ada. Our Indonesian colleagues seronok habis. Saya apa lagi, amik je le gambar mana yg sempat...
Ironic, dpt tgk tanah tumpah darah arwah Atuk lepas seminggu ++ dia meninggal. Sebak jugak.

My company ada 4 activities, one of it is kindness activity, so my team decided to treat some unfortunate kids bergumbira kat Genting. Jenuh bgn kol 5 pagi masak mihun, tapi x ramai yg mkn sbb memasing too xcited nk main rides. buek ponek den jo. Top team will be rewarded 5K. hmmm sape la menang ek. ada team tu jemput maya karin, erma fatima, artis2 le utk jayakan program charity depa. amboi...
Ma' kids = biasaq la, enjoi sakans.

SHELL IT (Cyberjaya) Family Day - Sunway Lagoon

En. Azly kita and his department organized an away day - Sunway Lagoon! A time to enjoy fun-filled activities with family and friends, and meeting new faces!
Breakfast
We gathered at the hotel's Sun & Surf cafe for a filling buffet breakfast. Considering we stay in Klang, and with 2 kids to get out of bed of, we actually turned up first at the cafe (8.00 am). Impressive! well, mainly because the husband is the breakfast organizer and he needs to ensure everybody arrives into the cafe with ease. Food - ok la, not bad. Hotel standard. I prefer the buffet breakfast in Trader's Hotel, KLCC.
   
    
Wet Park
After breakfast we headed off to the lagoon. There's an entry point via the hotel. Of course there were games and activities and watching the kids thrill themselves with so much amount of water around them like they'd never seen before! I should build a swimming pool in my lawn!

Danny beat his sister by winning the centre of attentention by amusing everybody with his oreo-eating talent (photos coming up in my next entry).
The wave pool games organized by the lagoon staff were really exciting and the game captain was hilarious enough with his little shrieks every now and then when he got excited himself. Ala-ala aww gitu. So semua orang mmg enjoy tengok and main game. Ramainye org kt lagoon, banyak companies organized family day events like ours on the same day.
Games:
1. berenang dalam tube pelampung (yang lebih muatan sure terbalik punya).
2. Tak tau apa nama game ni tapi ni descriptionnya: Letak kepala atas hujung tiang kayu, pusing 360 darjah 10 kali, lari ke rakan pasukan dlm keadaan pening lalat. (time ni bnyk yg jatuh dlm air).
3. Tug-of-war in waist-deep water (this one satu pool kasi cheer)
    
     
     
Lunch
Buffet at the Zazu Restaurant in the lagoon, just by the surf beach. Being a food enthusiast, I'd say the makanan tak le seberapa pun. Dia prepare ala-ala picnic je sbb even teh tarik was presented in a water pitcher, premixed plak tu. However, the ambience was cool, air-conditioned.
    
   
    
The husband adrenalized himself by getting onto the flying fox thingy. There with his big boss, Jerome, who convinced everybody to join him and as they flew over the beach, people underneath them splash water up to them. Gush of wind + water + pumping adrenalin = sheer fun! Of course I had to babysit. If not, I would've joined them.
 
Alhamdulillah the day went by with zero casualties + tiada adegan2 berpakaian seksi (semua peserta berpakain sopan + menutup aurat) . Yg penting, my kiddos were overjoyed sampai tak nak keluar dari air. All in all, it was a day of fun & splash! Need I say more?

Last Day in the World of Cengkerang

Thanks to everyone in the Shell OneHealth IT implementation project wave 1, I cherish my stay in the team every day that went by. Working hand-in-hand ensuring that every defect is retested was not so fun but hey we sailed through it!
Sad to leave but when you gotta go, you gotta go, baby!

Not doing anything much on a Deepavali break. So I thought I'd finish my scrapbooking stuff. Anul will probably get mad at me for not finishing my writing for our shared blog!
New to scrapbooking, so the result isn't that much to be bragged about. Furthermore, I only picked up PS in May this year, so getting to A+ is still some journey. Here u go!:

We spent 1st day of raya going to Ceruk Tok Kun, Penang sebab nak gi tengok my bro in-law's wife tgh berpantang hari ke-40. Kan ke she gave birth to their first child, Afiq Najmi tu...
It was pouring along the way tapi bebudak ni had lots of fun jumpa some of their father's family kat the northern part of the country. Tema thn ni x yh ckp le, ijau semedang, mana2 pegi tgk ijau. Kat tv pun pemberita pki baju ijau.
That's them tgh nk peek into the raya packets, dgn mak cik n pak cik depa... me? of course im not in the picture, I'm the one sibuk2 amik gambar anak...
Lps maghrib kami gi Penang island... dh lama x jejak kaki ke tanah pulau ni. Itupun my father in-law nk bwk bebudak tu berjalan... the last time I was here was thn 2001 masa grad. Teringat bnyk memories kt sini...
